FAQ

What is a Big Bang?
A Big Bang is an event that pairs artists and writers together to create content for a series, ship, or theme. This will be a traditional bang, which means that writers will be expected to submit summaries and excerpts for their works and artists will have to select their top preferences so they can be paired up later on.

What are the requirements?
This is a non-competitive event, meaning everyone 13+ who applies will be able to participate! We only ask you to join our Discord server since that is where most of the communication will be conducted.

Is NSFW allowed? What kind of content will be considered NSFW?
NSFW content will be allowed and is more than welcome as long as it doesn't qualify as incestuous or predatory since we are trying to make this a safe event. Only participants who are 18+ will be allowed to create and/or work with NSFW content. In terms of what can be considered NSFW, we will be using the official AO3 rating scale for all works.

Can you take on multiple roles?
Dual creators are more than welcome! In addition to that, all creators will be asked if they are willing to pinch hit during sign-ups. Beta and pinch-hitter roles will be available to all participants. We only ask that you evaluate your own capabilities and not take on more than you can handle so that this event won't become a burden to you later on.

What types of relationships are we allowed to write about?
Any relationship, romantic or platonic is allowed, as long as Aran is the focus of the piece!

What kind of content won't be allowed?
We only ask you to refrain from submitting potentially triggering content and any type of Dead Dove topics. If you do submit it, please tag accordingly so it doesn't bring any discomfort or ends up triggering other participants. Such content includes, but isn't limited to, self-harm, explicit descriptions of sexual assault, suicide, etc. We will pin a trigger list to our server on Discord so that the participants will know what they should tag when submitting and/or discussing their works.

Do you have a system in place so adults and minors can be paired according to individual preferences?
Of course! We will take your preferences into account during the contributor applications and summary selections to make sure everyone is comfortable with who they're working with.

What if I have other questions?
You can send us a message to our Twitter account and we'll do our best to get back to you as soon as we can!
